Do you ever just stop to think about how much is constantly going on in the world around us and within the lives of all the people that inhabit the world? I'm sure we are all aware of our personal agendas that easily can feel like a lot as we question what we are doing, how we are doing it, and why we are doing said events in this thing called life.
Making decisions and pursuing those choices can prove to be extremely overwhelming. Am I doing too much? Am I doing enough? Where should my priorities lie? Self-doubt floods the mind much easier than reassurance and confidence seem to.
Truthfully, these questions are daunting to ask and even more challenging to attempt to answer. Perhaps they really cannot be answered unless on an individual basis because each person is on their own independent journey.
Thus, only we can determine what works best for us. Finding the balance point in life is imperative. Each and every one of our priorities is just that, a priority. Even the seemingly small ones require some amount of time and energy dedicated to maintaining and achieving that priority. Yet, how can the small things get accomplished when there are these massively intense duties that hang over our heads that feel as if they take precedence?
The only way to make it all work is through the art of balance.
I most-certainly deem balance of life as a form of art. Some people do it gracefully, while others are slightly more inelegant. Some people take several twists and turns while on their path, while others seem to pursue things a little more straightforward. Some people may view their journeys on a path composed of vivid shades of color, the dichotomy of black and white, or a variation of both options at different points in their journey. Sometimes, shadows are more present in the artwork than may be intended (or even expected) by the artist. Furthermore, the form that the art of our life ends up taking is malleable and subject to distinct variations in the process it takes to get to the finished product; there are so many forms that art may take and even within those similar forms, the art is different.
Regardless of how the art came to be, it is still appreciated. Isn't it so intriguing, that, how the art came to be is perhaps known, yet not a huge factor that leads to a deeper sense of appreciation for the art itself?! Using this same perspective is how I view the art of balancing life. Everyone has a different way to do it that works best for them, and, oftentimes, it is based on trial-and-error.
All that truly matters is that the balance works for the person using that method because it is their life and only they understand what's best for them in terms of limitations for handling certain situations. Thus, your balance is different from my balance which is different from everyone else's balance.
The common factor is that this element is necessary for all people to persevere and hopefully thrive through life because, with all that is constantly happening around us and within us, the art of balance is crucial.
