I am writing a formal apology on the behalf that my life is too consumed by Disney.
I know, I know. It's been getting out of hand.
I blast "We Go On" as I get ready in the morning, motivating me to begin my day. I make my bed that is filled with Disney stuffed animals. I smile at the picture of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde next to my bed that says, "Anyone can be anything!" I look around my room, which is filled with Disney posters, canvases, and quotes. I brush my teeth while looking at my Ariel painting, and I pull back my Finding Dory shower curtain to shower.
I close my laptop with my Spaceship Earth background, and I clear my notebooks from my desk that is decorated with more Tsum Tsums than I can count.
I hop in my car that has a Tsum Tsum decorated dashboard. I take out my phone with my Epcot background and play my Disney Spotify Playlist. I turn up the volume and loudly sing to my personal favorites, "How Far I'll Go," "Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride," and "Go the Distance."
I spend my day referencing Disney movies, rides, and Cast Member sayings. I will never, ever, refer to a "uniform" as anything except for a "costume," and I will always say "10-4" rather than just the boring, "okay, I understand." Nobody understands my references, but nothing makes me more excited then when I will find the rare person who understands my Disney lingo. I will also immediately call out the reference if I hear somebody else make one.
When I go home, I will turn on Netflix and watch Disney Movies. Occasionally I will expand my horizon watch some old Disney TV shows. While having the movie in the background, I will flip through my photos that I took when I was in Disney. Other times, I will try to start planning my next visit.
If I am not having a great day, I will pull up Youtube and watch "Happily Ever After." I have seen the show in person once, but I have seen the video countless times. Whether it is live or on Youtube, I bawl my eyes out every single time the Moana scene begins.
You may ask, "why does this poor girl live her life like this?"
Disney has taught me so much. From watching movies to actually working for the company, I have learned more lessons than I ever could imagine. I learned to always follow your dreams, to never let anybody stop you from doing what you love, and to be your own person. Always be yourself and always follow your heart. With hard work and determination, you can do anything you set your mind to.
And therefore, I am apologizing if you are offended by my enthusiasm of Disney.
I am not apologizing for loving it, and I am going to buy more Tsum Tsums now.
