Have you ever heard the saying, "life begins when you step outside your comfort zone"? Whether you are taking one big step or several small steps away from your bubble of comfort, that step or those steps will lead you to learn about and try new things. Stepping out of your comfort zone may seem intimidating, unfamiliar, and maybe even scary, but it will be worth it. This process can be sudden or slow, but do not be afraid to make mistakes throughout your way. Learn from mistakes and keep going — that's called learning.

"Move out of your comfort zone. You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new."

Whether you want to try something new or face an obstacle or challenge in your life, you are opening yourself up to new understandings and perspectives, giving you independence and self-confidence.

"All concepts about stepping out of your comfort zone mean nothing until you decide that your essential purpose, vision, and goals are more important than your self-imposed limitations." — Robert White

What is something new you want to try? Is there a club you have been wanting to try? What are your biggest fears and challenges? How can you break down your limitations?

Allow yourself to live your life to the fullest. Step into the life you were meant to live and the person you were meant to be.

How can you step out of your comfort zone?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
