Three words to describe college: exhilarating, powerful, rewarding. Three words to describe real-life post-grad: scary, confusing, challenging.

You just spent four of the best years of your life, learning about yourself, your independence, meeting life-long friends, and making life-long memories. Now, you've graduated. Now is not the time to feel scared, stressed or nervous. Now is the time to be EXCITED!

You are about to embark on the greatest journey. You are about to begin creating your LIFE. Here are some words of advice for those post-grad guys and gals from someone who has, and currently still is, there.

1. Be open-minded.

We all have this idea of what our life will be like after college. Great jobs and apartments are a few of those dreamy thoughts but don’t overlook something that doesn’t seem so glamorous. The position may be located in small, cramped office, but that office could be filled with industry knowledge that you might not have the opportunity to learn somewhere else.

2. Have confidence in your skills.

This is hard because you feel like a rookie in the professional working world, but you have an expertise. You went to college, you earned a degree, you are allowed to have an opinion! Show up to work with confidence and excitement to tackle projects and the world will be yours.

3. Don’t become comfortable.

Just like in a relationship, you don’t want to become too comfortable in a job either, just going through the day-to-day motions. We are young and we don’t need to settle for something we don’t truly love. I’ve received so much advice about being young and if I’m not happy where I’m at, leave, move on and find something that makes you happy! Now isn’t the time in our lives to be complacent.

4. Take on these new challenges with excitement.

This may sound stupid or difficult, but if you truly look at these challenges you are facing with excitement, your outlook on this new chapter can be so much brighter. Instead of complaining when your boss gives you a new task that doesn’t quite match the job description, look at it like you are learning a new skill.

Learn anything and everything you can during this time in your life!

Remember you are not alone in this fight. Us post-grads have got to stick together and help each other through the woes of entering the adult real world. Now, let’s go conquer the world!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
