Most students enter college with a positive attitude. Setting high standards for themselves that they want to achieve. Whether we want to believe it or not, majority of us spend our days telling ourselves lies just to make it through the day. This is so we feel better about the things we may or may not be doing in that particular moment. Here's some lies every college student can relate to.
“Just one more episode”
On the busiest days, you promise yourself that you won’t binge watch your favorite Netflix series. 3 hours and 4 episodes later you’re are still bundled up in bed cozier than ever
“I’ll work out later”
As the day drags on that large bowl of ice cream starts to give you a stomach ache. You lift your shirt to see how large you look today. The gym sounds like a good idea, but that would mean you’d have to get out of bed. The walk to class is enough of a workout.
“I’ll start eating healthy tomorrow”
It’s the next day and you’re still eating your favorite ice cream from the dining hall, but today only one scoop instead of 3.
“I’ll start studying now”
Right after you watch a few more episodes on Netflix, get ready for the day, and hangout with your friends. It’s now 10pm and you’re just opening your textbook for the day.
“I’ll go to class today”
You think you'll get so much more done in the day, because now there's free time. 6 hours later and you still have your pajamas on.
“I’m not going to drink tonight”
*five shots deep*
“I’ll wake up early to study for the test”
It’s 8:45 and class starts at 9 and you’re just now looking at your notes.
“I’m just going to take a short nap”
3 hours later and you’re waking up more tired than when you went to sleep.
"I’ll look good for class tomorrow”
You’ve got sweatpants and a t-shirt on, laughing at the fact that you thought you’d have the motivation to look nice.
