In this modern technological world, there are so many things on screens that we give our attention to, but there is something that is even more magical than that. Libraries.

These are seriously the diamonds in the rough of the world. Anywhere from your local library to an old fancy library at a European university, there is so much to explore.

Libraries are something that sometimes can be seen as a place that you only go if you absolutely have to for a school project or just a place that has a lot of books. Well let me tell you, you are so very wrong.

Libraries house thousands of books on end and there is so much that can be explored. From the sections to the shelves, to the books, there is an adventure waiting just behind every spine on the shelf. A book can hold a whole world of possibilities and places for you to get lost in. The aisles of shelves hold so much for one to appreciate that you could spend hours on end exploring throughout the library.

Whether you're at your local library or visiting one of those big fancy European ones, there is so much culture and history that resides within the walls of a library. There are so many different genres and eras of literature you can explore. You could be spending some time in 19th century England and then next thing you know, you're fighting monsters in space to save the whole of humanity.

Libraries allow you to be able to go and travel through so many worlds and time periods and you don't have to buy anything. As opposed to having to go to the store, the library allows you to spend as much time there as you want and explore so many things. There will even be books you find that you might not have found unless you explored the shelves of a library.

With all the worlds, stories, and people you can meet, there are so many things that can be found in a library. Especially, if you want to have a quiet place to be, go escape into the quiet aisles of a library. Escape into the different worlds. Find a small corner, get comfy and open a book.

Libraries truly are something that is missing from all of our lives. There are so many wonderful and magical things about them, it is almost a sin that they aren't used as much as they should be. Next time you are out, go sneak into a library, even if it is only for a few minutes. You never know what magical thing might happen when you step into a place with so many worlds held within.

Plus you should always listen to the Doctor, "You want weapons? We're in a library. Books are the best weapon in the world. This room's the greatest arsenal we could have. Arm yourself!"

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
