I’m sorry if at any point I made you feel as though you could never amount to something. I’m sorry that you thought that you didn’t need to take care of your health, or that you were more focused on your social life than you were on your academics.
I know that worrying about losing friends consumed a majority of your time, but you lost the people that were not meant to be by your side. You are better off the way that you are now, and with the people that you have chosen to keep around. You kept everyone that has made the most beneficial impacts in your life, and found it within yourself to let go of those that were pushing you down. It was difficult, but you needed it.
I promise that half of the things you were worrying about didn’t end up mattering, and half the things you weren’t worrying about did end up mattering. That’s okay, you learned along the way. You thought that there wasn’t much maturing for you to do, but you couldn’t have been more wrong.
There are many regrets that you may be holding, but in a year or two you will forget that any of them even happened. If they still remain in your memory, they only do so for the purpose of teaching you a lesson. Take those lessons and learn from them, don’t push them away.
You will amount to something. You will have a few bumps in the road after you graduate, but you will end up somewhere you never knew you could be. You will have to learn how to get your health under control, and you are the only person that can give yourself the motivation to be successful in school. You will get there, and I am proud of you.
