A Letter To The One That Saved Me

The typical "I don't know where I'd be without you" is 100 percent true.

Before I met you, I barely knew myself.

Before I met you, my life was a living nightmare.

I used to visualize the worst parts of my days and nights to the point where they would control my mind.

I would constantly think I was hopeless and meaningless, but now, with you, it's the complete opposite.

Me, my heart and my mind were broken, torn and beaten.

If you didn't appear in my life, I'm scared of where I would be.

Instead of me falling asleep with tears filling my eyes, I get sent off to sleep with a smile from ear-to-ear.

You changed my life for the better, and I couldn't thank you enough.

Every time I saw myself in the mirror, I would be disgusted with myself. My confidence level dropped way down until I started getting the texts and comments of how beautiful and strong I was, and still am.

So here are a few thank you's you definitely deserve...

Thank you for loving me unconditionally despite all of my flaws. I'm beyond grateful to have you.

Thank you for respecting me, but especially teaching me the true meaning of love.

Thank you for being my better half and keeping my confidence high.

Thank you for never letting me go when times get tough.

Thank you for holding me close, telling me everything is going to be okay and that I have nothing to worry about.

Thank you for treating me like royalty, I've always wanted to be a princess.

One last thing. Hearing your future and having my name involved makes me feel so loved. In my head, like any other girl dreaming of her future, I see a strong and bright future ahead of us, and I'm overly glad you think the same way.

Now to break all this seriousness...long story short, I can't stand it when someone hits on you in any way. So when I get rattled and lose my mind, accept the fact that you're perfect. Accept the fact that I'm over-protective and afraid of losing something that simply means the world to me. Kidding, but not kidding.

Love you forever and always, and thank you from saving me from my living nightmare.

I thank you for loving me.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
