To the mom of a college student,

Even though we may not have gotten along too well in high school or even middle school, I'm so grateful to have you now as my best friend. If our relationship had not blossomed into this incredible bond I know my life would be so different. I'll never be able to repay you for your constant love, support, and guidance over the years. So thank you.

Thank you for never giving up on me.

Thank you for the constant support.

Thank you for protecting me even when I didn't know I needed protection or didn't want it.

Thank you for always seeking the best for me and for guiding me in the right direction.

Thank you for raising me to be independent and strong.

Thank you for listening, for being there even for the silly things that get under my skin.

Thank you for always picking up the phone even when you're at work just because I'm walking to class and need someone to talk to.

Thank you for being my mom.

If you had asked me several years ago what my relationship would be with my mom I don't think I would have known.

College has transformed our relationship in all the right ways. You've always supported me but I never realized how I could rely on you in my back corner and I'm so grateful for that. Knowing I have my mom has been the biggest blessing over the last two years through all the struggles and hardships.

So thank you, mom, for being you and being the best mom I could ask for through this crazy thing called life.

Sincerely,

Your Daugter

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
