To The Love of My Life,

I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for me and the person I have become because of it. You have taught me how patience is a virtue when I am stubborn and have shown me kindness on days I don't feel like being so kind to others. You have taught me to treat others the way they deserve to be treated and have shown me that lesson through the way you've treated me. On random days of the week you surprise me with my favorite candy, or if I'm stressed out of my mind, you help me cope.

Thank you for supporting me through my worst times and for celebrating with me during my best times. The moment I knew for sure you were the one happened on one of my worst days. I came home for the evening with my parents just to see my dogs. One of my dogs was so excited to see me, however, that all of a sudden he had a stroke right there in my lap. I was traumatized and would barely speak the rest of the night. What did you do, or better yet, what could you do? You decided to take me to the nearest grocery store and look for my favorite candies. When we couldn't find them (we bought a balloon and a cake instead), you looked at me and sobbed. I asked what was wrong and all you could think about was how you wanted me to be happy and when I'm sad, you're sad. When you said that to me, I was shocked. I had never seen a guy so loving to me in my entire life besides my own relatives.

I said to myself in my head, "This is real."

So, instead of writing something for you on Valentine's Day, I decided to wait until after because I wanted you to know that you're special to me even when the holiday is over. I wanted you to know that you mean so much more to me than a balloon and a cake -- you mean the world to me.

I love our little late night adventures to McDonald's and the constant dog videos we send each other on Instagram. I love how even though you're taking the maximum credit hours possible and still make time to see me every day. I love the way that you smile at me and I love the way that you make me feel. You make me want to be the best version of myself possible and because of you, I strive to be that person every single day. So, to The Love of My Life, thank you endlessly. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us and I can't thank the universe enough for bringing us together.
