Dear Nick Chubb,
On Saturday the entire Dawg Nation cringed in unison as you injured your leg in the game against Tennessee. However, the pain we feel probably doesn't even compare to the pain you feel.
I'm not going to flood this letter with pictures of what happened, I'm not going to sing a sad ballad, and I'm not going to accept defeat. Rather, I'm going to focus on the positive; here are some highlights of other athletes that have suffered similar situations, and bounced back.
Reggie Bush:
In 2010, the New Orleans Saints RB fractured his fibula while recovering a muffed punt. Six weeks later he was back on the field and has continued to play in the National Football League to this day.
Tom Brady:
Suffering an ACL injury in 2008, Brady returned to the NFL in 2009. Since then, he has not only won a Super Bowl and countless other titles, but he also married the gorgeous Gisele Bundchen.
Jamaal Charles:
Jamaal was injured in 2011 and returned to the field at the beginning of the season in 2012. His runs per game have actually improved since the injury, and he is still active in the NFL.
Adrian Pearson:
9 months after his ACL surgery in 2011, Pearson made a comeback to the Minnesota Vikings. His 2012 season was one for the books and he's not slowing down anytime soon.
Kevin Ware:
The basketball injury that shocked the entire country back in 2013. Photos of Kevin Ware's injury went viral and most assumed he would never step onto a basketball court again. However, he defied the odds and was back the next season. Since then, he has won a championship game, and was named the Most Valuable Player in the 2015 Sunbelt Conference Men's Basketball Tournament.
Willis McGahee:
In 2003, Willis McGahee tore his ACL, MCL, and PCL. It was considered one of the worst football injuries of that year. Even though he was going to be out for a season, he was drafted into the NFL by the Buffalo Bills. In 2007, he was ranked in the top 5 for rushing. In 2011 he signed with the Broncos for a $9.5 million contract, and played for them until his retirement in 2014.
Todd Gurley:
The only point during last year's game against Auburn that the entire stadium went silent was when RB Todd Gurley tore his ACL. Today, as we all know, Gurley is making us proud by succeeding in the NFL as the RB for the St. Louis Rams.

They came back, and we know you can too.
We love you, we support you, and we are praying for you.
Feel better soon,
The Dawg Nation
