An Apology And Thank You Letter To My Parents That Like To Vacay A Lot

During my childhood, I was lucky enough to go on vacations with not only my mom, but with my dad too. With having divorced parents they would always take turns for different holidays or school breaks to take my brother and I on new vacations. Double the family, double the vacation! So, thank you, mom and dad, for all the vacations and I'm sorry I wasn't more appreciative.

THANK YOU for making me go on that vacation that I begged not go on. Only because I thought I was going to miss the best party of the year, or thought I was going to be bored because I didn't have any of my friends along with me.

I'M SORRY that I used to be that awkward middle schooler with the braces that hated getting her picture taken in front of the historical monument or attraction because I didn't even know what it was or really bothered to care.

THANK YOU for dealing with my attitude and not throwing in the towel when I gave you a hard time about where we were going next.

I'M SORRY for thinking in my head that I was too cool for my family with my flip phone and all.

THANK YOU for letting me come to the next vacation and the one after that, plus taking me places I wouldn't be able to go alone.

I'M SORRY for wanting to sleep in and not go hiking or for wanting to watch tv and play on my phone rather than pay attention to where we were driving.

THANK YOU for seeing that I was young and dumb.

I'M SORRY for not showing or telling you that I actually appreciated the vacation after it was over because I was too stupid to suck up my pride and tell you that I had a good time.

THANK YOU for planning them and still taking me now that I'm an adult and moved out.

THANK YOU for letting me bring along a friend or a boyfriend

THANK YOU for paying for everything because college doesn't let me.

THANK YOU for everything! For being a family that likes to go new places, for a family that is patient and loving and still sees me as their little girl and wouldn't want to leave me behind.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
