A Letter To My Friends At Different Colleges

Dear best friends,

I will remember the night before we all left for college like it was yesterday, for the rest of my life. Saying our goodbyes after nearly 10 years of friendship was something I never thought I would have to do, but we did it and we did it together.

Entering into college was a very big transition and doing it without you guys right there with me was painful. I love watching you guys flourish and grow at your own schools, don't get me wrong, but I often times find myself wishing we could all still be together.

Holiday breaks are all we have these days. But when we do get to finally link back up, it's as if nothing has even changed at all. I will never take those breaks for granted because I know the time we get to spend with each other is very minimal and precious.

Being able to watch you guys branch out and expand your networks and horizons has been awesome. You are going to go so far in this life and don't ever think otherwise. You are stronger, smarter, and braver than you know. Always remember that I'm just a text/call/FaceTime/Snapchat away if you ever need anything. None of our crazy and goofy memories will ever be forgotten about. We have made an abounding amount of memories throughout our journey together and I know they aren't coming to an end anytime soon.

We may be at different schools, but we won't be here for the rest of our lives. As much as I have loved growing up and experiencing many, many milestones with you guys, we have the rest of our lives ahead of us and the rest of our lives to create more life-long memories together.

I am so excited to spend winter break with you guys and catch up on everything that has happened the first 3 months of our sophomore years. I wish you guys the best of luck as you go through finals week. You will absolutely crush your exams and continue to grow with success. Proud is an understatement when it comes to how I feel about what you have achieved so far, and I am so excited to continue to see what you guys will do in our remaining college years. I love and miss you guys so much! See you so soon!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
