Dear Donald Trump

I knew you would be a disappointment, but I hoped you would prove me wrong.

Dear Donald Trump,

How are you? I'm sure you're OK, considering the fact that you now have the highest amount of power in America, and the Secret Service can't tell you "no" every time you take a two million dollar vacation. Or maybe you're not OK. Maybe you're panicking because you know that while the election was a big fun game of slander and manipulation, being the President is too big of a responsibility for you to handle. Whether you're feeling alright or not, I wanted to let you know how the America that you promised to care for is feeling.

An overwhelming amount of the American people are distraught, in shock and quite frankly pissed off at the actions you've taken thus far in your presidency. Your whole mission from day one has been to silence different demographics of people residing in your country. You want to silence believers in climate change, you want to silence the LGBT community, you want to silence immigrants and you most definitely want to silence victims of sexual assault. Because if a woman admits her sexual assault, she can't be insured. That's a great way to tell attackers in this nation that they can get away with whatever they want, and the victim can't speak up out of fear for not receiving insurance. Everything you are doing in office is furthering your own misogynistic agenda, rather than furthering the best interests of the entire nation.

I think that the problem is that you've never been one of us. You've never been the average American citizen. You've existed in your bubble of wealth for a majority of your life, and you don't understand that while exquisite vacations and building towers named after yourself may be your priorities, most Americans just want health care, fair pay, and other basic human rights. You don't understand the American people, so how could you possibly advocate for our rights as citizens of this country?

Well I have some bad news for you, Mr. President. I will not be silenced, and neither will the others who care about the opportunities they deserve as citizens of this country. These next three and a half years of your presidency will be filled with angry citizens who have had their rights ripped from them. I hope that the next election brings about a candidate who actually wants to preside over the nation for the people, not just for themselves. I knew you would be a disappointment as president, but I really hoped that you would prove me wrong.

Enjoy the Oval Office, Trump.

We sure as hell aren't enjoying anything.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
