Dear Roomie,
Thank you for making my Freshman year bearable. I don’t say it enough, but I couldn’t have asked for a better roommate. Thank you for being my first new friend. Thank you for wandering campus that first week and getting lost trying to find the dining hall. Thank you for always being the best wing woman. Thank you for making our room feel like home. Thank you for putting up with my mess. Thank you for always being there when I needed someone to talk to.
From late night cookies, to dance sessions and Netflix binge watching, you have always been here for me. I was so scared to move in and if I’m being honest, move in day was super awkward. The awkwardness didn’t last long and now I’m glad I get to call you one of my best friends.
You are a great listener. You always know how to make me laugh. You’re a voice of reason when my mind is spinning. You don’t take crap from anyone and you’ve stood up for me when I didn’t even know what to say.
It’s going to be so weird moving out and living away from you. We’ve woken up together almost every day since september, sometimes by screaming or throwing pillows at each other so we don’t miss class. We’ve learned so much about each other and about ourselves. We’ve both changed over the year, and somehow we still get along.
Next year I am going to miss living with you so much, but this is not the end. We will take classes together, we will go to Zumba together, and we will still only be a 15 minute walk from each other.
You are going to do so many amazing things and I can’t wait to see everything you accomplish. You’re beautiful, smart, hardworking, and I know you are going to have a great sophomore year.
I’m going to miss you so much.
Love,
Your Freshman Roomie
