To Drake Bell, From The Girl In The Front Row

We all know that it was Megan who got your flight mixed up.

Hey, Drake,

I was at the Stanhope House on October 6th in the front row. I had my very own Nickelodeon t-shirt on (like the one you wore on January 15th) and was completely thrilled; I was about to see my idol.

Then, I got the news that you wouldn't be there. I continued to listen to the music, trying to conceal my emotions because nobody else in the venue knew yet. I was the first to know because I was in contact with your street team (I was the reporter who was going to live stream the concert).

It gave me some time to process the fact that you would not be there and let me be the first to tell you: I am not disappointed in you. I am not disappointed at all, in fact. I actually gained even more respect for you that night. I didn't think that was possible, but I guess it is.

There will be another concert. There will be another chance for you to get on that stage. I promise you, I will be in the front row, once again, ready to see you -- my idol. I know that you are sad that you missed us, but don't let that stop you from rocking the rest of your tour. You have always been so true to us; now allow us to be true to you. If there are fans that have hard feelings, you can respond by saying:

While I have you reading this (which is a dream come true in itself), I want to thank you. Thank you for sending that Instagram video out to us. Thank you for tweeting to express your feelings about the situation. Thank you for being true to us. We all love you.

We got the chance to sing "I Found a Way." I could tell that you were there, in the venue, in spirit. We found a way to move past this bump in the road -- and I know you will, too.

Life happens, and we all have moments where we can't make it somewhere last second. Nothing that happened was your fault and I will remain a loyal fan. We all know that it was Megan who got your flight mixed up. Megan must have given the pilot "Peruvian Puff Peppers." On top of that, Walter must have messed up the weather report for that night. I even found proof that Megan was on the plane the entire time:

Now, let's look forward to the next concert and just blame Megan for the whole mishap. You rock, Drake; never forget that!

Sincerely,

The girl in the front row

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
