Why is the cross around my a topic of conversation? What exactly is “faith”? Why is it so hard to understand why I go to church every week? Why is it so out of the ordinary to find someone who walks with God? Why is it weird that whenever something goes wrong I bow my head and pray? If God is real, why do bad things happen? What does church have to do with faith? Why are there so many different versions of The Holy Bible, and who wrote all of them?
Lately I’ve been ask a lot of questions about my faith in God. Sometimes I’m honored because that means that the people around me know that I’m strong in my faith, and will talk openly about it. Other times, it actually challenges my faith. When I’m asked questions that not only I can’t answer, but it’s hard to find a straight answer regardless.
There is not an answer to every question… and that is the toughest part about faith. But that is the reality of it. Having faith means just that. Having faith that our lord and savior will provide us with all of the answers that we need to know. And for the ones that we don’t have the answers for, that He is protecting us all for the greater good.
Having faith is all about trusting that He will take care of everything. So even though you have questions, put your faith in Him and Trust that He will be alongside of you through your whole journey.
Jesus died for us all on the cross, that should be enough to answer all of your questions. Challenging your faith, does help it grow stronger… But make sure that with every question you ask that you include your faith in it. Not every answer will be as straight forward as you sometime hope for it to be.
Having faith is sometimes on of the most challenging things to do. I don’t mind being that person who has faith in everyone and everything. I believe that we all should have a relationship with God. He is the best thing to turn to when things get rough. He is the one that I lay my life down for. I trust in him with every fiber of my being. So when you start to question what faith really is… Just close your eyes, bow your head, talk to Him, and listen. Your answers will come.
