We all can’t wait for the day when we finally meet our soulmate. We dream of love and affection, good times, and finding your other half. You may be thinking right now of a significant other being this person. Yes, that can be true, but does your soulmate really need to be your significant other?
Lately, I’ve been watching a lot of "Sex and the City," and Carrie Bradshaw (who I think I am) said to the girls, “Why don’t we just be each other’s soulmates?” Now, who are you really thinking of being your soulmate?
Maybe instead of waiting around for that special someone (or you already have that special someone), you can look right in front of you and see who has been there for you through thick and thin. From bad breakups to drunk nights, guy or girl these people are your best friends, and you may consider family, rather than friends. Sometimes they are even the people who you say to each other "Oh we are so going to hell" because you all know deep down, you're crazy (but the best kind).
I feel like everyone always gets so caught up with finding 'the one'. What is the rush? You have your whole life to be married. Don't rush into something. Good things always take time. Enjoy yourself with these few days.
So, if you are ever down on yourself about being single, think about all the soulmates that you have in your life! They are right before you, hidden in plain sight. Either it’s the boys, or the girls, in the words of Carrie Bradshaw: “Why don’t we be each other’s soulmates?” and embrace the true love and soulmates we have around us.
