Let Go & Let God.
Let go of your control center.
"I was always made to be the person that had to make everything fit, whether that was financially or trying to pull my family together. So I grew up with the pressure of having everything; bills, events, everything fell on me. I had to make ends meet and schedule doctors appointments. So entering my faith I had a mindset that God is my backup plan. I put Him first. Or so I thought. But I still relied on myself a lot. I have to do this, this, and this so that this can happen you know? And when it fails it makes me feel terrible. There is also a trust factor in this equation. I made sure I did things myself because I didn't trust someone else to do it. So I have to trust that God will provide In all aspects of my life. So to kind of clarify, my control center is where my mind is made up. If I can hand over my mind to God, he can help me change my mind for the better. It would take a lot off of my shoulders, and allow me to be able to trust him more. I could move more in the spiritual rather than the natural." - Anonymous
Just as the Earth keeps spinning, so do our minds. We find ourselves caught up, ambushed by responsibilities, pressured from ourselves and the outside world, and faced with tasking problems. In order to escape the clutches of these worldly trials, we naturally try to take control. We try to manage it all. Our mind processes everything at once (or at least tries to), in which lies the problem.
We are not supposed to have it all figured out. We simply cannot. Humans have the ability to think and logically process information, but we need not to rely on our own understanding. The simple truth is; there are some matters that we cannot control.
We need to release our minds, to release our instinct for control to God. His plan is the one we need to follow.
Revelations 4:11 (NLT) says, "You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.”
You see, God created everything, everyone. He is the one that is to have the power and control. His plan is the one that matters. While often we feel comfortable in our own ways, it's not the best for us. God created us and is strategically crafting our lives with the necessary challenges to strengthen us and become all that we can be.
He created what he pleased, and has no intention to put us through anything we cannot handle. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NLT) explains this, "The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.”
So let go. God has only the best laid out for you, and you don't need to worry. Your mind is a powerful tool, but it can't control everything. Let God be in control. He has a better plan for you than you do, but in order to receive that blessing, certain aspects of your life are going to seem messy and chaotic. But on the other side of these trials are an abundance of blessings that we never would have expected or dreamt of.
