Being a sophomore in college, you would think I would be starting to get the swing of things. Alas, you are wrong. Not having a free day really makes it hard to enjoy every minute of everything you're involved in, which is why I've decided to complicate my life further and start a relationship with this guy named Balance.
Balance and I never really saw each other together until we accepted the fact that we can't live without each other. Having work things and school things and volunteer things and career building things I didn't think I would find time for Balance, but I have realized he is exactly what I need.
In the average (fill in the blank) birthdays, it's usually hard to find a Balance in your life. Often in relationships, one person loves the other more. Often in school, one person excels academically more. Often in vocational hobbies, one person is always showing progress more. Well, here's to being the one person.
Everyone gets busy, everyone gets stressed, and everyone gets tired. Whether you care to measure the degree of indentation on your unkept pillow or the wear on the sole of your shoe, here's to your weekly balance. Here's to being busy watching bad movies and making obligatory flower bouquets. Here's to being stressed about the type of coffee to order and the unseen missing button on your shirt. Here's to being tired after painting until 1AM and going to a $15 concert. Here's to not planning your surprise visits and fancy lunches. Here's to finding your Balance. Where's he hiding today?
