After working in the pizza industry for nearly 6 years of my life, I think I have acquired a pretty good list of things I have learned about this wonderful industry. So here's to all of the terrible customers, rude co-workers and being treated like complete shit for the last 6 years of my working career with hardly any raises!!!

1. Customers aren’t always right, like EVER.

Please don't ask to talk to someone who knows what they are doing, because chances are WE do know what we are talking about and you're just incompetent.

2. Most men you encounter; employees, customers, service workers are far too sexual and incompetent.

No, I don't want to go out with you and for the last time will you please stop talking about the number of people you've slept with.

3. You will go home smelling like the food you made that night.

Yes I smell like pizza, thanks for letting me know something I'm well aware of... I can't help it!

4. $5 for a delivery isn’t that much, especially considering most drivers make around $3-$5 an hour IN STORE, not even while driving.

They hardly make anything as it is, so why stiff them? Thats just rude.

5. Know what you want when you order or else everyone is going to get pissed off at you.

I really don't want to take any more time out of my busy work schedule to talk to you, so know what you want before hand or you'll be the most hated person at that time.

6. I can’t just give you a coupon, you have to present it to me first.

No, sorry. Businesses make money by selling thing and giving you a coupon you don't even have doesn't help us any.

7. If you’re a manager, you’re not going to get taken seriously even if you try to.

Yes, I look 12 but I am the manager and I am in charge and you will listen to me... or you'll just make fun of me and not listen because thats what typically happens.

8. You can gain so much weight from eating the extra food mistakes from orders.

Food is just so goooooooooood.

9. So many customers lie about things being wrong with their food, potential scam artists (PSA) are a big issue in the industry.

\

No, I'm sorry but you totally said you wanted tomatoes on that! I took your order AND read it back to you...

10. You’ll make some of the best friends you could ever ask for.

Thanks to those who have made work bearable, you're the best!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
