We age every year and continue to grow and develop physically in terms of height, and at times, weight. But we also grow mentally as we are exposed to various situations and dilemmas in our every-day life. Sometimes, a part of us still wants to remain a kid and not get totally intertwined amidst the chaotic hullaballoo of life.

But growing up is an integral part of life and living it to the fullest. As we age, we instantaneously start learning more about the world we live in and how to offer various solutions to certain uncanny or absurd problems. More importantly, we are able to carve our own individualized identity in the world we live in and learn to differentiate between right and wrong. This leads to our moralistic development which will further shape the way we act and perform in society.

As young adults, we do tend to get easily overwhelmed at times whenever we have to submit an essay, project, or a presentation for work. Some of us even get boggled up whenever we have more than 3 exams on a single day or throughout the week! I do too but it is immensely imperative that we unleash mindfulness and mental resilience. We can all seek to excavate mindfulness in the sublime landscape of nature which is surely a delight to everyone!

Psychologists define mindfulness as an “active” state which is geared towards drawing your attention to the present. When you are mindful, you are able to connect all your intricate thoughts and feelings into a web of positivity. You cannot be dwelling on the past and the reasons why a tragic incident occurred. When an exam does not go as expected or if you have a tough day at work, learn to focus your attention towards the deeper meaning of it and explore the positivity behind it.

In other words, continue to strive for excellence and always remember that the “sun will always rise again.” No matter how turbulent or disastrous an impending storm might appear, always remember that no such storm is big enough to tear you down! Be the unfaltering pillar of strength that is unable to give in to the temptation of breaking down during rough situations.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
