“To be young and in love in New York City, to not know who I am but still know that I’m good long as you’re here with me. To be drunk and in love in New York City. Midnight into morning coffee, Burning through the hours talking. Damn, I like me better when I’m with you.” Lauv, a very talented musician has taken the music scene and environment and rose to be a strong presence in the music scene. Recently, I attended a Lauv concert in Copenhagen and I have to say that it was one of the best concert experiences that I had in my life. A Lauv concert is unlike a normal concert in that he implements many parts of emotions and life stories to the music experience. With many emotions and thoughts running through my head as I heard him sing his songs, it was by far the best concert experience that I had.

As I headed into the concert hall, I immediately heard his soothing and emotional voice that reminded me of many past experiences. Also, during the concert, Lauv would take breaks to explain the back story to his songs and at what age and what emotions he had while writing the song and performing the song for many of his audiences. A Lauv concert is one that is filled with many personal stories, emotions and feelings, and a really good voice and music scene. Not only was his personal stories the best addition to a normal concert experience, but the crowd was also a very engaging one where everyone was really into his music and everyone was in with their own feelings and personal experiences. More than a music scene, it was a beautiful experience in terms of emotions and human self. Many of his songs are from his personal stories and experiences and many people come to his concert knowing the power and influence of his music and voice.

Only hearing about this beautiful experience, I went to experience it for myself and I can definitely say that it was an experience well worth going to. Throughout my trip in Copenhagen, I know that this was one of the highlights and probably one of the best highlights of my time in Europe. Being able to meet and see Lauv in person and hear his voice and songs that I have been a huge fan of has become a dream come true. To anyone out there looking for concerts or any music scenes to go to, I can definitely recommend that Lauv is one to look forward to and definitely one worth going to. A Lauv concert is definitely worth your money and your time and I wish I had more time hear Lauv sing.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
