In college, age doesn’t matter, and that’s amazing and horrible at the same time. Classes, clubs, sports, and Greek life are all composed of students of different ages. I love that age doesn’t matter because people aren’t limited to being friends with only people their own age, but it also stinks to have friends that are different ages because you won’t be together all four years of college. I’m 19, and my best friend is 22, so sadly, next semester will be our last semester of college together.

To my best friend: looking back at my last three semesters of college, I could not imagine them without you by my side. We have been through so much together, good and bad, and I would not change one second of it. I love every second I spend with you, and the memories we’ve made will always be unforgettable. Thank you for listening to my rants, going on ice cream runs with me, being a senior in college and still loving sleepovers, and everything in between. You are incredible, and I am beyond grateful to have had you by my side through this crazy journey of college life.

I’m so sad that next semester will be our last semester together, and in preparation for it, I’ve decided on a few things we need to accomplish before you graduate. It’s a small list, since we don’t have that much time left...

  1. Go to the rec and play one-on-one basketball – I talk a pretty big game, but you’ve never seen my words in action. I’m sure you’ll end up beating me, but at least we can both agree that I’m the best at spinning the ball on my finger.
  2. Have our best sleepover yet – Movies, candy, pillow fights...you name it, we’ll do it. It’s going to be the best night ever.
  3. Road trip to Nashville – We’re some of the biggest country fans in America, and Nashville is known for country music and an all-around good time.
  4. King Library dates – It is still school, so we will still have to study. Luckily, our fifty twenty rule leaves plenty of time for goofing around and laughing until we're in tears.

To my best friend and sister, this might be our last semester together, but it will also be the best. As we continue to strive for good grades, I see many study dates and fun adventures in our future. Thank you for being the best friend I could ever imagine. I can’t wait to make this semester full of crazy and fun experiences with you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
