Lab Grown Diamonds: How to Buy Them and Why?

.

Cultivated or lab grown diamonds Singapore are not artificial or synthetic, but rather a type of diamond that is produced in a controlled environment. These man-made gems are proven to be eco-friendly, ethical and affordable alternative to mined diamonds. How can you recognize them and how do they differ from mined diamonds? What kinds of lab-grown diamonds are there? Is it worth the investment? This article will answer all these questions and more!

What Is a Lab-Grown Diamond?

Lab created diamonds are created using high-pressure and high-temperature (HPHT) machines and carbon-bearing substances, such as methane, ethane, and coke. In the first stage of the process, ethane or another hydrocarbon gas is subjected to high pressure and high temperatures to create synthetic graphite, which is then turned into diamonds.

Why Buy a Lab-Grown Diamond?

The process of mining diamonds is very destructive and can cause pollution. Lab-grown diamonds have a less harmful impact on the environment, as they are created in a controlled environment without the use of toxic chemicals. Lab-grown diamonds are also cheaper than mined diamonds, making them a great choice for people on a budget.

Choosing Your Lab-Grown Diamond

The 4Cs of lab-grown diamonds are the same as those of mined diamonds: cut, carat, color and clarity. The clarity of lab-grown diamonds is graded differently than that of mined diamonds. Lab-grown diamonds are graded Z2/Z3/Z4, with FL being the highest grade for mined diamonds and Z2 being the lowest grade for lab-grown diamonds. The graded clarity of mined and lab-grown diamonds represents the amount of impurities present inside the diamond.

Types of Lab-Gruwn Diamonds

As you might have already noticed, lab-grown diamonds are not the same as synthetic diamonds. While synthetic diamonds are man-made diamonds created in a laboratory, lab-grown diamonds are produced in a controlled environment by carbon atoms. Those diamonds that are grown in labs tend to look a bit different from mined diamonds. Lab-grown diamonds tend to be less sparkling and have a less intense color than mined diamonds. This is a result of the fact that diamonds grown in a lab are not exposed to the same weathering process. Lab-grown diamonds can be found in almost any shape, size and color. The only restrictions are the availability of the carbon source and the equipment used.

Bottom line

With their affordable price, eco-friendly nature and ethical production, lab-grown diamonds are a great, ethical alternative to mined diamonds. Lab-grown diamonds can be found in any shape, size, color and clarity, so they are a great choice for people who want to customize their ring. While certain things like the lack of impurities in mined diamonds are affecting their price, for the most part, lab-grown diamonds are a great value for money.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
