From Crush to Creepy

"It's just research... it's not really stalking."

From Crush to Creepy

Liking a boy starts out so simple. You see a cute boy, you innocently ask his name. From that moment on, everything is a whirlwind. Something about having a crush makes girls go a little insane. It may seem creepy, but better safe than sorry, right?

You pray that he adds you on social media first.

*waits for Facebook notification not from a relative*

If he adds you first, YOU'RE IN.

He knows my name, and my (Snapchat) story!

If he doesn't add you, you build up the confidence and add him. Then regret it.

"I added him on LinkedIn. Is that too far? Do I look desperate? I look weird. I'm so creepy. I'm done."

Stalk him on social media. Hard.

Ask any girl; this is what we do best. Who is this boy? What does he like? What do his friends like? What does his friends' friends second cousins' girlfriend like? We've probably creeped on every person you've mentioned in a tweet in the past 4 months. Sorry.

You'll end up accidentally liking an Instagram post from 17 weeks ago.

*sheer panic* *throws phone*

Realize you know way too much to act normal during a conversation.

"Oh, you're from Dallas? I didn't know that! Your sister is married? So cool!"

You put so much time and thought into each and every Tweet, Insta-pic, Facebook share, and even Snapchat story, knowing that he will see it.

This also means stalking yourself to see how you would look if he was creeping on you.

Pretend you don't see him when you're in public.

Will he say hi first? Does he know my name?

If and when he does say hi first, you try to keep it cool.

"Oh hey how are you? Didn't see ya there..."

But really you and your friends are actually the worst at being cool.

Suddenly, you have no idea what to do with your hands or what to talk about.

You go to certain parties just to see him...

"There he is! He looks SO GOOD. Who is he talking to?"

Sometimes it goes like this...

Or sometimes like this.

NO IT'S FINE I DON'T REALLY CARE AND I WON'T BLOG ABOUT IT.

When you do talk to him, you'll probably say something dumb.

But you'll stay positive and believe that true love does exist.

Which means over exaggerating about the smallest things to make it seem like there's a true connection.

Denying reality is the best way to keep the hope alive!

Your friends will send you pictures of him when they see him in public.

Are you really a friend if you haven't tried to take a photo of someone but the flash went off and the person noticed?

You talk about him to your friends, but you don't really know him that well so you have to list generic things about him or things you got from social media.

You'll see him talking to another girl and automatically you hear the familiar beat of "You Belong With Me" starting in your head.

"CAN'T YOU SEE THAT I'M THE ONE WHO UNDERSTANDS YOU?"

Or you may just sing "Crush" by David Archuleta really loudly just because you can.

It's just so fitting sometimes.

Your crush on him might fade after the new excitement wears off...

"I liked him?"

Or it may just intensify with time.

Love can stand the test of time and being unreciprocated!

This all may seem creepy, but all we really want is someone who gets us.

(Bonus if you can make mac and cheese pizza!)

A crush may or may not turn into anything, but eventually we'll all find someone who is exactly as weird as us, and loves us all the more for it.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
