Being The 'Kind Girl' Doesn't Mean You Always Have To Be The 'Nice Girl'

Although this concept may be something difficult to comprehend, I have truly learned how genuinely true this statement can be.

It is important to be kind and radiate positivity to everyone in this world in order to receive it back, but you do not have to be known as the "nice girl."

By that, I mean that it is good to be kind to this world, but you don't have to sacrifice your own self-worth in order to do so.

Being kind is a beautiful trait that everyone should have and instill that into their everyday interactions with other human beings because it makes this at times not so easy life so much easier when we are all kind to one another.

Being kind is something that I personally try to radiate myself, in the hopes that others will catch on and do this themselves as well. With as much as I personally stress kindness, it is still possible to be kind without sacrificing your wants and needs.

A person who is looked at as overly kind can often be looked at as an "easy target" or known as someone who lets others "walk all over them," but it is super simple on how to not be this combination.

Being kind and confident is the ABSOLUTE perfect combo, in my opinion, on how to be a beautiful soul without being too nice, or known as just the "nice girl." My sorority, Kappa Delta, specifically, helped me learn to be kind to the world while being confident and loving the person that I am.

I have many things and people I could attribute to when it comes to where I am today, but ultimately, we must thank ourselves and be kind, confident, and radiate who we want to be to the world, and we will be known for all that we are!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
