Yesterday, Kim Kardashian shared a collection of photos taken at her 40th birthday celebration. In the caption, Kim started by expressing her feelings towards turning 40 as well as by expressing gratitude toward the place she is in life now. She then continued to explain how for her 40th birthday this year that she really wanted to spend the day with her "closest" friends and family. So she did just that. According to Kim, each member of her family as well as her friends were asked to undergo several health screening and the proper quarantine period before being allowed to fly on a jet to a private island. This post comes just a few days after Kim shared photos from a surprise party hosted by her family for her birthday. As could be expected, these photos were all met with mixed opinions from the public. So let's take a look just how the internet is reacting.

1. The meme treatment

It didn't take long after this post for Kim to be turned into the meme. The meme features parts of the caption Kim posted on her Instagram but with a twist. Instead of featuring her fabulous island getaway photos, they feature photos of different ideas of "vacations". Some of the photos used include photos from Gilligan's Island, the Sims, The Catalina Wine Mixer and Survivor

2. Using her own GIFS against her

Another popular response is to use her own GIFS against her. After years of being in the public spotlight, there were a lot to choose from. Most commonly, people selected the GIF of Kourtney Kardashian saying "Kim, people are dying". Honestly, this was probably the perfect response.

3. A vocabulary lesson

Twitter users have also taken the time to provide the star was a vocabulary lesson. They felt like although she used the word humble several times throughout her post, she had no idea what it meant.

4. Sharing their own stories

As a response, people have begun to share their own stories with COVID-19. For a lot of people, their experiences with the virus have been different but overall most of the stories really are heartbreaking. People shared stories of how they can't see their parents because of the virus, how they celebrated in quarantine, and sharing pictures of what is going on in the world.

5. Praise

Now this response is few and far between; however, some people are praising the star for taking the time to properly celebrate her birthday. A majority of people praising Kim fall into at least one category. Either they are of similar celebrity status, they were invited on the trip or they simply really love Kim Kardashian.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
