As another year roles around and we start to make our New Years resolutions, we begin to hope for a change. We wish for our best year yet and hope that things work out how we hope that they will. We hope that steps are made to make our dreams come true.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to make some changes and having goals, but there is a way that we should go about it.
A verse in Ecclesiastes talks about how there is a time and a season for everything. We are going to have good times and bad times, and we'll have triumphs and trials, even the book of James talks about that. Not everything is going to be good all of the time, but that's ok! It's all part of our story and makes us who we are supposed to be.
We don't need to dread it or worry about it because God makes all things work together for our good.
So it's ok to hope for the best as we enter this new year, but don't be discouraged if hard times come your way. Instead, push into your faith and trust in the Lord.
Also, lean on Him as you enter this New Year. While you're making resolutions, I encourage you to spend more time with Him. I promise you that if you do, you'll see a difference in your heart, attitude, and mind. God wants us to renew our minds instead of conforming to the ways of this world, and spending time with Him is a great way to do so.
So turn to Him, and I wish you the happiest New Year.
