Gator 107.9

Last week, I co-wrote an article with one of my fellow Creators, Sophie, about each of our weeks at our radio stations. Somehow, I was found out by some of the jockeys at the iHeartRadio stations in Myrtle Beach, where I work, which led to quite the interesting week.

The average day starts out by helping with the morning show on Gator 107.9. While there are five different stations in the group, I primarily work with the Top 40 station, Mix 97.7, and the guys on Gator, which is the Country station. Working with the morning show is a different adventure and challenge every day. Some days, it's helping give out wristbands for the Carolina Country Music Festival. Other days, it's getting called out on air, the app, Twitter, and Facebook live for being "undercover" and writing articles about my time at the radio station. This earned me the nickname of "KGBri" this week from the guys on Gator's morning show. If you follow the link, you can hear and see it all go down, and watch my reaction to getting called out on radio for being a Russian, double-crossing, mole.

As per my punishment, I am to take the guys from the morning show "to the top" with me. Some of the requirements from my parole officers co-workers is that I publish them, talk about them, and "post headshots." So here are the two dudes behind the mic on the morning show.

While these headshots make James and Adam look like serious guys who wear button-down shirts on the daily, I can assure you they're anything but. The average morning with these two includes lots of laughing, usually at someone in the room's expense, singing their own versions of popular country songs as they play in the background, and coming up with movie ideas. While I would love to let you in on the wonderful movies these two have planned, you'll just have to wait for them (including the nine sequels) to come out in theaters.

In the upcoming weeks, be ready to call in each day to win more passes to the Carolina Country Music Festival. If you're looking for other ways to win too, the guys are always out and about around the Grand Strand, giving wristbands to winners. Make your way out there to try your luck. Or, if you want to just come hang out, come to Weiner Wednesday for free hot dogs every other week, and possibly win some other pretty cool prizes.

So make sure you tune in to Gator 107.9 every weekday morning to check out the continuing adventures of #KGBri.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
