Happiness is a key element to living a healthy lifestyle. Without it I believe it can slowly kill you as a human being. The happier you are, the easier life can be. Even though I like to believe everyone is this world is the happiest that they can be, I know that isn’t always the case. I know as life gets ahead of you, you may find yourself lost or lonely, causing sadness and leaving a dark shadow to follow you everywhere that you go. Hopefully by reading this the next time you are feeling down in the dumps you remember these few pointers on how you turn that frown upside down and live a happy, fresh lifestyle.
1. Puppies!
Okay, I know that sounds so simple, but I promise you it's amazing the effect a dog can have on a human and vice versa. Take time to go to your local humane society volunteer to play with the puppies there, who knows one may just end up coming home with you.
2. Positive Energy.
Surround yourself around good people with great laughs. You want to be around people that always know how to bring out the best in yourself. It’s easy to get caught up in a bad crowd, or bad vibes cancel that out by finding the right place with the right people. I promise you will see a different in yourself.
3. Give Your Mother A Call.
Moms always know the right things to say, whether we want to admit that or not. If you are every having a bad day, or you need advice on a decision no matter how old we may be, calling our mothers always turns out to be the best move you can do.
4. Exercise!
Because when you look good, you feel good! Nothing like a rewarding feeling after leaving the gym or completing a jog after a long day at work. Not only can you catch a nice moment in the sun, it also makes for a great stress reliever while shaving off a few calories.
5. Chocolate.
I know this sounds a bit contradictory after saying you should exercise, but no one said a piece of Dove chocolate is a bad thing. Matter of fact, eating a few pieces of Dove chocolate all smooth and silky always sounds like a good day to me.
6. Laugh... A lot!
Just like they say laughing really is the best medicine. Whether it's while reading a book, watching a comedy or just kicking it with friends. Everyone needs a good laugh that gives you an ab workout every once in a while.
7. Do Things For Yourself.
Although it may be hard sometimes to set aside life to actually be able to enjoy doing the things that you want to do, making yourself happy should always be a main priority. Treat yourself every once in a while everyone deserves to be a little spoiled.
8. Music!
Get our groove on! Nothing like a good beat to set the mood. Turn on your favorite music and dance ridiculously and sing at the top of your lungs, while being with your friends or heck when you are all alone.
Being happy is the best feeling in the world, you feel as though you are on top of the world. Everyone deserves to be happy, sometimes though you just need a friendly reminder to smile. I hope these eight ways to enjoy life works good for you, they may be simple, but they work great for me!
