Kesha's Comeback Deserves More Attention

Why Kesha's first album since her lawsuits is probably the best album she has released in her entire career, and it isn't even out yet.

For those of you who haven't heard about it, Kesha is about to release a new album, entitled "Rainbow." It's being fully released on August 11th, 2017. With that being said, why is this not a bigger deal? This is the first album she's released since her battle to escape her contract with Sony after the Dr. Luke fiasco. Not only is it a good sign for her career, it's a beautiful sign for her mental state, and deserves more appreciation.

The single "Praying" off the album is a raw, emotional look at Kesha's mindset after the whole experience. While I can't say for certain, it sounds like it's an ode to Dr. Luke and the whole Sony team, but not in the way you'd think. Instead of being angry (which she totally should be), She takes a calmer, rising above, conquering tone. It is her battle cry, and a beautiful statement to everyone who tried to keep her down. It's also her showing the Nay-Sayers that she can rise above anything they throw her way.

The next single, "Woman," is a song that needs to be played on the radio every day, so everyone can hear it. It's an anthem for all of womankind, and Kesha is unapologetically a boss ass bitch who doesn't need a man, and she's showing us that that isn't a problem. In today's society where 'woman' is synonymous with 'inferior', Kesha is reminding us that we are a beautiful gender, and society can't get us down unless we let it.

The last single to be released, as of July 29th, 2017, is entitled "Learn to Let Go" and it is possibly the most important single on the album. This song has some really powerful lyrics, that can't be fully appreciated until you've heard the song a few times through. She's speaking from the heart, and showing us all that her struggles have only helped her grow more as a person. "Life ain't always fair, but hell is in resentment. Choose redemption, your happy ending's up to you" ("Learn To Let Go", Kesha).

Basically, these songs are diamonds and deserve all the appreciation this world has to offer it. But rest assured, there's more to come from this new found Kesha, so make sure and keep an eye out for all of the above-mentioned songs, and the songs to come on the 11th. I can guarantee she's going to blow us all away with what comes next, so hold on tight. This is gonna be a wild, beautiful ride.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
