To the girl I use to be:

I want to thank you, I want to thank you for making me into the person I am today!

You taught me so much, you taught me that it's okay to fall, it's okay to cry, it's okay to not be okay...but most importantly you taught me that it's okay to make changes and leave certain things in the past!

In the last year you helped me realize that I was not healthy and needed to start making better life choices! You helped me realize that I was not in a good place mentally and you guided me in the right path to fix that! You helped me realize that I have some of the most supportive people in my life...my friends!

Now, to the girl I am now:

Girl I am so freaking proud of you! You are a dang rockstar! You have come so far from the girl you used to be!

I know it definitely was not easy to get to this place, a lot of negative things happened to get us to this point! But you overcame every single thing that was thrown at you! Mentally and physically you are so much stronger!

Since 2019 you have faced so many new challenges and changes, you have become a way better person than the old you! You have completely changed your life around...in the best way you know how to do!

You have become the healthiest I have seen you since you were about 15 years old! All thanks to making one life choice! That choice has been the best thing you have ever done and I am so proud of you!

People have always told me "one choice can change your whole life." I guess they are right, because that one choice you made in 2019 has changed your whole life for the best!! Keep pushing babe you got this!

Last but not least to the future me:

I know I haven't met you yet, but I know that you are going to do amazing things in life, i know you are going to make me proud! I know you are going to be the strongest version of me there is!

You are going to be the best thing that has ever happened to me, you are going to be an amazing person! No matter how tough things get in the future for us, please don't give up on us! We completely got this and we are going to come back out on top of the world again!

I might not have met you yet but i know you are going to continue to shine and make me so proud! Keep up the great work!!!

Continue to make me proud.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
