If you haven’t heard, Kathy Griffin thought it to be a comical enough idea to post a photo of herself holding a severed head that looked like American President Donald Trump.
“I’m a comic.”
These are some of the first words we hear in the defense/apology video posted by Kathy Griffin to her Twitter. In her video, she “begs” for forgiveness from the people offended by her photo shoot.
A photo shoot is not a mistake. Knocking something off the counter is a mistake. Posing with a model decapitated the head of the President of your country? Not a mistake. That is called a choice.
Ms. Griffin, you have made your choice loud and clear for the masses. We now understand that you stand for violence and hate instead of love and kindness. Any human who can pose with a decapitated head is a sick, sick individual and I hope with your gobs and gobs of money you can afford the counseling you so desperately need.
The thing is, if ANY other human on the planet took a picture with a decapitated head of someone they disliked or disagreed with, I’m pretty sure it would be harassment and the pictured individual would be jailed for the others safety. But not you! Did you post a video to Twitter and your problems magically go away? That’s wrong. You deserve every bit of backlash you are receiving. Maybe this will open your eyes to that fact that comedians are supposed to be funny, not sick twisted individuals who hold decapitated heads for fun.
Actions have consequences, Ms. Griffin.
Welcome to reality.
