10 Things You Need To Do Before Summer Ends

I have a list of things to accomplish because that is how organized I am about my fun.

The summer is always a great time to let go and just relax from the stress of the academic year. For the first week or so, it is a blessing to not have anything to do but as time goes on, I get stressed about the fact that I am not accomplishing anything during the summer. For those who feel the same pressure to be doing something 24/7 or else you feel adrift, this is for you.

With no further ado, the things you should try to do to make your summer more fun:

1. Bonfire

There is nothing more summer than having a bonfire.

2. Have a picnic

It's beautiful outside, we should really take advantage of it.

3. Enjoy a movie outdoors.

Just recently, I had my first outdoor movie and it was amazing. 12/10 recommend.

4. Take a hike

Get the lactic acid pumping!

5. Go to a baseball game.

I have surprisingly not gone to a baseball game in LA and I need to rectify this immediately.

6. Check out your local farmers market.

I'm hungry just thinking about it.

7. Go to a music festival.

The true summer vibe is sweating at a music festival.

8. Visit a museum.

Literally one of my favorite activities ever.

9.  Paint your toenails with bright Summer colors.

Why does painting your nails automatically bring happiness?

10. People watch.

This is always a fun thing to do.

The summer is truly a magical time to relax and unwind. Hope this list gives you more ideas or just reinforces the strength of your summer ideas!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
