Everyone has a “just” for their life: Just if he liked me or just if we dated… Just when I get married… Just when I’m a mom… Just when I get that diploma… Just when I get that job… Just when I loose those pounds… Just if I stop fearing… Just if I stop hurting… Just when this is over, or when that finally happens…
Everyone has a “just” statement of hope for the life. What’s yours?
What if I told you your “just” has already come? What if I told you that you simply had to go and accept it? Would you believe me?
You see, Christ came to set all that’s out of joint back into place; all chaos back into order; all hurt back to health.
All of our “just”s boil down to the desire for two things: love and security.
Jesus, Emmanuel – God with us – came to this sinful, crazy earth to show His perfect love for you. He remained perfect, without sin, to show that His love for you was greater than temptation (and believe me, Satan really tempted Him). He paid the price of His life and the Father’s turning away of His face from the Cross to prove His great love for you. Now the Father will never turn His face from you.
You are lovingly watched by the Almighty. That’s security. He has paved the way to your eternity secured; will you walk it with Him?
Will you trust that the Creator doesn’t make mistakes and that He says you are fearfully and wonderfully made? Purposefully designed. Beautiful, He calls you.
Will you trust that He knows your future and He has good plans for you?
Will you trust that He knows your pain and He deeply desires you to know Him as Jehovah Rapha – the Lord your Healer?
Will you trust that He is more powerful than your situation and that He gives you victory? Jehovah Nissi – the Lord your Banner.
Will you trust He is greater than your past? He knows it perfectly and knows you in all of your ugly states, but He still chooses you. He came for you; don’t you see? And He came to make all things new.
Will you trust that God came as a humble babe with the sole purpose of one day winning you back to Himself?
Scripture records 33 years of Jesus' earthly life, mostly focusing on His 3 years of ministry. I personally believe we get to see Him from a young boy, to a 33-year-old man to ensure our hearts of His purpose: the Father’s will – your salvation.
The greatest love story ever told. The greatest fortress ever known. He’s the greatest gift. And He's yours.
He fills our every “just.”
