"Hallowed Grounds: Sites of African American Memories," is the theme for this year's schedule of events, organized by the Student Government Association at Jacksonville State University, commemorating Black History Month. The events will focus on the reading, recording, and writing of African American History. Last week, February 3-4, the SGA hosted a blood drive in the Theron Montgomery Building from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This week, February 9, Kyshona Armstrong will be at the TMB for "A Night of Acoustic Music." It starts at 7 p.m. and refreshments will be provided during the two hour event.
February 17th, during regular lunch hours (11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.), the Jack Hopper Dining Hall will be hosting a "Southern Comfort Foods Lunch."
And on the 23rd, there will be a "Cultural Canvas Painting Class" in the TMB from 6-9 p.m.
