Journalism isn't one of the usual majors you hear said when asked what someone is studying.

It seems as if nursing, psychology, business, and sports management have moved right up the list of "most popular things to study." However, Journalism majors still exist and still have a crazy important role to play in society.

Here are 10 things all journalism majors are deadline TIRED of hearing:

1. "Isn't journalism just, like, writing?"

I mean... Kinda. Sure.

2. "Are you ready to interview people the rest of your life?"

Journalism is SO much more than just interviews. But if it means interviewing famous people like Beyonce, then yes, I'm ready.

3. "That's still a thing?"

Just check BuzzFeed - still a thing.

4. "So you're an English major?"

English courses - not English major.

5. "You must have a lot of time on your hands."

It's actually a LOT less free time than you'd imagine.

6. "Do you even have homework?"

Essays upon editing upon citations...

7. "I thought journalists were only in old movies."

Journalists live on forever.

8. "So what do you even do?"

Write, edit, write, do citations, write...

9. "Journalists don't get paid that much, do they?"

Depending on where you work, you could make the big bucks. However, we're most likely not in it for the dollahs, anyway.

10. "I guess I'll catch you covering the latest breaking news story."

You may be looking at CNN or Sports Center's newest.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
