Why I Joined The Trans-humanist Party (Part 2)

This is the second part to a two part article. Read part one here.

Now as for the RNC, I expected this convention to be as cancerous as radiation waves yet somehow I was still blown away by some of the stupidest mistakes I've seen humans make in my lifetime. The biggest one for me was the blatant copyright of Michelle Obama's convention speech almost completely plagarized by Melania Trump.

However that isn't the part that upset me most; that title of disappointment goes to the argument in defense of Melania Trump speech on Fox News. In defense RNC chief strategist, yes the chief strategist who is supposed to be the smart leader and voice of reason, Sean Spicer claimed it could not be cited as copyright on the grounds that a kids show called "My Little Pony" also used similar quotes.

If you have to cite "My Little Pony" as in defense theirs obviously something up, no mature adult would make that argument unless they were lying. Other than the copy written speech by Melania Trump the standard Republican race baiting and religious fanatics came out to blame Obama, calling him a Muslim, fear mongering and everything else in between. The only sane thing I heard through the convention is to lock up Hillary, although they cited the wrong reasons, that claim actually has some evidence to back it up.

Seeing both of these political parties grandstand and act like they give two damn's about anyone other than themselves or their theist ideology changed me for the better. I tore up my Democratic Voter Registration card because that party is dead to me now. After doing some deep self thought and research, also being very tempted to go to the Green Party and support Jill Stein, I decided to become part of the Trans-humanist party and their presidential candidate Zoltan Istvan. A party that put science and technology first for the good of the people.

Too many people are starving in the streets and lack proper health care and yet I never hear from either of two main parties an actual plan to solve any issue. Yet ask any trans-humanist party member these questions and you get straight forward answers. Hunger? Research how to grow food, including lab made meat, to be produced in mass quantity while reducing harm to live animals and expanding amount of accessible food. Health care? Cancer research, the belief in medicine not prayer, and health care as a right. I could go on or you can check out the trans-humanist party platform here and decide for yourself.

All I am asking for this year is take make your vote actually count, survery all other options and support a candidate that is actually going to work for the American people. You can go third party with Jill Stein, Gary Johnson, or Zoltan Istvan. Lets elect someone into office who actually runs on a political platform not a media propaganda machine

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
