Why John Green's Unreleased Book Is Already Incredible

John Green-

One man with a brilliant mind. Known for his quirky book elements like black Santas and labyrinths. He's been my favorite author since I started high school and that remained the same for five years. And I'm proud of that. Super proud. Many people think of John Green and their mind automatically turns to The Fault in Our Stars (TFIOS) and associate him with being overrated. But all of that is just nonsense to me. TFIOS is an amazing book and deserved all the success it got, and just because John became one of the most famous YA authors in a short period of time, that shouldn't take away from his brilliant writing. It's been 5 and a half years since his last book came out, and many people (including himself) thought that he would never wrote another one. But finally, that's changed.

Turtles All The Way Down.

That's the title of his new book, and I may be biased (I definitely am), but it's already amazing to me. And all I know is the title and a few facts. But John has never let me down, and I don't think he ever will. The book was only just announced, but the few facts that have been released already sound totally John Green-esque, and totally incredible.

The novel follows a 16-year old girl named Aza Holmes who looks for clues to find a missing billionaire, who is struggling with a mental illness. While we don't know what mental illness it is yet, John Green is the one person to count on to represent and portray one of them correctly. He's been honest with his struggles with anxiety and how much it has affected his life, and still does to this day. When I read this, I was even more sold on the book than I had been before because it adds something to the story that not just me, but millions of people could relate to and find hope in.

Oh, and it includes Star Wars fan fiction. And any YA novels involving fan fiction (cough cough, Fangirl) have proven to be successful. Even if I know nothing about Star Wars, I know I'm going to enjoy that factor of the book. Along with Star Wars die-hard fans.

On October 10th, 2017, John Green's hiatus will finally come to an end. His fans will finally be able to add another heroine alongside Alaska Young and Margo Roth Spiegelman. Turtles All The Way Down. All is right in the world.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
