Like many, a distinctive memory from my early teenage years comes from watching trash TV like "Jersey Shore." This show was truly phenomenal, from the birth of the phrase "Gym, Tan, Laundry" to Snooki's iconic look and everything in between. The show has been off of the air for a few years now, but what have our favorite guidos and guidettes been up to?

1. Snooki

Perhaps the most well-known of the "Jersey Shore" cast, Snooki, who now goes by Nicole, has grown up a lot since the end of the show. Since then, she has starred in 'Snooki and Jwoww' with her best friend and "Jersey Shore" member, Jenni "Jwoww" Farley. In 2012, she had a son, Lorenzo, with fiance Jionni Lavalle, who she dated throughout the show. Nicole competed in "Dancing with the Stars" in 2013, but was eliminated in week seven despite her consistently good scores. She welcomed her second child, Giovanna, with Jionni and the two wed later that year. She has released several books, runs her own clothing store The Snooki Shop, has an Etsy shop, and is an avid Instagram user.

2. Jwoww

Since her time on the Shore, Jenni "Jwoww" Farley and longtime beau, Roger Matthews, had a baby girl together in 2014. She starred alongside Snooki in "Snooki and Jwoww" from 2012-2015. Roger and Jenni appeared on "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars" in 2014, and were able to resolve their relationship issues and married in 2015. They are currently expecting a baby boy due in May of this year! She runs a successful tanning lotion line, JWOWW, and is pursuing her passion in becoming a producer.

3. Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino

"The Situation" has definitely lived up to his name in the past few years. After the end of the 'Jersey Shore" in 2012, he checked himself into rehab for a prescription medical addiction. In 2014, he was arrested at a tanning salon in New Jersey for tax fraud. He and his family then starred in the briefly-lived series, "The Sorrentinos," but it was canceled after the first season with mediocre reviews. In 2015, he and college girlfriend, Lauren Pesce, participated in "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars."

4. Pauly "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio

Pauly and waitress Amanda Market welcomed a baby girl to the world in 2013, despite not having a previous relationship. He has continued to find success in DJing and performs frequently in Atlantic City and Las Vegas.

5. Vinny Guadagnino

After appearing on "Jersey Shore," he starred in his own show on MTV "The Show with Vinny" in 2013. The short-lived show featured Vinny with various celebrities who would come over to his house to eat a home-cooked Italian meal. He also runs a podcast, "Get Into It With Vinny G." where he discusses pop culture with his guests.

6. Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola

Sammi has stayed relatively out of the public eye, besides a few guest appearances on shows such as "Project Runway." She owns her own clothing line, Sweetheart Styles, and reportedly broke up with longtime boyfriend and formerco-star, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro in 2014.

7. Ronnie Ortiz-Magro

Like Sammi, he has largely stayed out of the public eye as well. He has appeared in a few ads for the weight loss supplement, Xenadrine, and promotes protein powders and workout programs on his social media accounts.

8. Deena Cortese

One-half of our favorite meatball duo, Deena has been keeping a relatively low profile in the past few years. In 2014, she and her long-time boyfriend appeared on "Couple's Therapy" to work through their relationship issues. She was a bridesmaid in both Snooki and Jwoww's weddings.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
