As many of you may have heard, one of our favorites, Jennifer Aniston, has recently split from her husband, Justin Theroux. Unsurprisingly, this has created a massive media frenzy of rumor and speculation. Breakups are difficult enough on their own, so I can’t imagine what it’s like to go through one under the microscope of the public eye. I think that it’s time for us to close out of E! News for a minute and give the girl some space for once.
Why is it that we have invested so much into this one person’s life and happiness? This is not the first time that Jennifer Aniston’s personal life has been at the forefront of our minds. It all started back in the late 90s, with a certain guy by the name of Brad Pitt.
Since then, she has been bombarded with story after story, first about her boyfriend, then husband, then ex-husband. After that followed the ridiculous pitting of her against Angelina Jolie, which reduced two incredible actresses to a mere catfight.
The apparent feud between the two women has continuously drawn headlines for more than a decade now. Neither of them has been outspoken about the other, and they have both done their best to keep quiet about it all. Yet, every time there’s a possibility of their crossing paths in any sort of way, it becomes the main story of the day. Every time, instead of a big blowout or screaming match, they end up being like two ships passing in the night who have better things to do than hold a grudge.
Today, the cycle is about to start again. Hours after announcing their separation, stories came flooding in about a possible rekindling between both newly single Jen and Brad. I don’t know about you, but if I just broke up with someone, the last thing that I would want to hear is rumors about getting back with my ex. I'm probably not the only one thinking that this charade is getting a little old and that it's about time that we move on.
So, let’s try and focus on something else. Literally anything else. She doesn’t need a man, anyways.
