In case you've been a little in the dark, Jaclyn Hill recently came out with her brand Jaclyn Cosmetics. After eight years of waiting, Jaclyn Hill uploaded a video titled "Introducing Jaclyn Cosmetics!" on May 23rd. Her first product was a line of nude lipsticks because according to Jaclyn, "everyone needs a nude lipstick." On May 30th, the collection was officially launched and as people started to purchase the lipsticks, they noticed something odd. Certain shades of the lipstick like Decaf came with hair fibers, sharp bits, bumps, holes, or just broken, melted lipsticks. Multiple product users were having these issues and it blew up over Twitter.

Jaclyn Hill's crap quality control featured excuses like white cotton gloves getting over the lipsticks, while many people conspired that she was actually selling expired lipsticks. On June 12, she uploaded a second video where she went into more detail on her lipsticks whereby she blamed every issue on the lab. Marlena Stell, the CEO of Makeup Geek, tweeted that she originally talked to Jaclyn Hill and told her not to use the lab because of previous bad experiences. According to Marlena, Jaclyn didn't listen and used the unsafe lab anyway.
Soon after, Jaclyn Hill vanished off of social media taking a month hiatus from YouTube and deleting all her social media accounts. As many avid fans know, Jaclyn tends to do this often since she rarely uploads.
Jaclyn Hill returned to YouTube and uploaded a video on July 23rd entitled, "Where I've Been." Although the video was nineteen minutes long, the whole video consisted of her breathing and making up excuses. This video could have been five minutes long, but thanks to the standards of YouTube booty guru apology videos, it was much longer. Jaclyn barely answered any questions and continued to talk in circles instead of owning up to her status as CEO and actually talking about the issues.
As many fans said on Twitter: no one wants excuses - EVERYONE wants an apology.

Yet, as a someone with a narcissism complex as massive as Jaclyn Hill's, she cannot possibly be at fault. The victim moment is gone Jaclyn, why the hell were there shards of glass in your lipsticks? Why didn't you listen to Marlena's advice?
