Attention all college students! It is getting to be that time of year again. The mid-term election are right around the corner and that means you have the right to exercise your views by casting your vote for the candidate who you believe embodies everything you believe in. Statistics have shown that college students are now the largest demographic of voters, surpassing baby boomers. This means that we have the power to change the status quo in Washington and also in local government and make the change happen that we want to see.

The political climate that we are facing these days is tough. Both sides are divided and they are trying to fight to the last breath to keep on going with what they believe in the right to the top. College students now have the chance, more than before, to change the political deadlock that is happening throughout the country and make changes that will benefit all the people. It is time that we take action and cast our vote, no matter who you are voting for.

If we take a look at what is happening in local and federal government, it is shocking. The amount of corruption and back-door deals that we do not even know about is crazy. As a student, I feel obligated to do what is right which means casting a vote to someone who has my best interests in mind. There has been a lot of talk of a blue wave, red wave, etc. The honest truth behind this is that we do not know what is going to happen. All that we do know is that this election is one of the most important elections since the 2016 presidential election.

So my final words on the matter go as follows. it is time that we put aside the partisan politics and find people who are willing to work with people on both sides of the aisle and try to heal the division that has happened in this country since Trump took office. We must come together as one and cast our votes and make our voices heard. If you stay home for this election, it is not going to help you in the slightest.

So, college students across the country. Cast your votes, and get ready for a change that needed to happen many years ago. it is time that we take our country back, and it is time that we have our voices heard for the first time in many years.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
