" Why are you listening to Christmas carols? It's not even Thanksgiving yet. Give turkey day is chance!"
Here's my life philosophy, it's never too early to start celebrating for Christmas. Growing up I used to have traditions of my family that folder on Thanksgiving break, but, as I've gotten. Thanksgiving no longer holds the traditional significance that are used to. Because of this, it flies under the radar when it comes to celebrating holidays. I'm a firm believer in Christmas carols starting November 1 night because I've forgotten about November and Thanksgiving, but because there aren't any Thanksgiving carols and by the time Halloween is over, I am ready to start getting festive for something, the weather has turned cold, and i'm ready to be in a holly jolly mood. Not only is it the season of joy, but it's like Thanksgiving to. A special emphasis on giving and being thankful for what you had throughout the year, but this time, there are carols, hallmark (and Netflix) romantic movies, hot cocoa, presents to and from loved ones, and so much much.
There are so many variations of this December holiday, but in one way or another, it seems like the whole world is celebrating in their own special way. It's a day during we forget our troubles of the year and just focus on what it means to be alive. Sure, if they have become commercialized over the years, but it's true roots remain. It's a time for love, family, and Santa Claus! So no, I will not stop singing Christmas carols before Thanksgiving because there's just too much excitement for this holiday to wait until late November. :)
