Many people may not understand why you feel the way you do. They may not understand you, or even grasp the concept of anxiety, depression, insecurities, and so on, but in the mist of it all; it is okay to feel this way.

The days that your body is shaking with stress, overwhelmed, and cannot bear the day. Your heart beats so fast that it feels as if your heart will explode into oblivion. You’re so anxiety ridden you cannot function or even think straight. For these days that your anxiety takes control of your body and not you, It’s okay to feel this way.

On the gloomiest days where you cannot get out of bed, or the darkest of nights when you cannot sleep because the thoughts are too loud in your head. The past comes back to haunt you. Or every word that you never said replays over and over like voice recording. If there are days that seem like they have no end, or even a too rough of a beginning; It’s okay to feel this way.

For the days that you cannot look yourself in the mirror because you’re everything you wish you weren’t. You cannot even get yourself to come to the realization that you are good enough. Even the voices creep in to dictate your mind. In the end, It’s okay to feel this way.

In the mists of what you may feel in everyday life, it is okay to feel this way. Even though some may not understand why you feel the way you do, there are others that do.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
