We all have an idea in our heads of what we want our lives to be like. We create plans and timelines and then BOOM... life gets in the way. I, personally, am a prime example of this.
I had this idea that I would go straight to college, graduate in four years and everything would be great. However, that is not how things ended up going for me, as you may have guessed.
I did go to college right after high school, but things definitely did not go exactly as planned after I got there. I spent my first two years of college going to school in Northern California.
After some time spent there, I came to the realization that I was not happy and it was not where I wanted to be, so I had made the decision to move back down to Southern California.
This required me to attend community college to finish up my general education credits so I could transfer to another cal state.
It has been a rough process, and I have had to come to terms with the fact that it is OK to be in community college and it is OK if your college experience hasn't been what you thought it would be.
Everything will work out in the end, and if that means it will take a little bit of extra work, then so be it.
