It's November 1st!
You know what that means! Christmas is next month! For everyone that knows me, that means that my inner OCD comes out. And by O. C. D. I do not mean Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I'm talking about my Obsessive Christmas Disorder. Once November hits, my inner Christmas maniac presents itself and I'm ready for Christmas day and everything that comes with it. I'm not going to lie, it's pretty hard to contain my Christmas cheer up to this point. When October comes to a close, my inner Christmas maniac is dying to come out.
On November 1, lots of things change for me. Out come my Christmas shirts, socks, and leggings, I start playing Christmas songs and watching Christmas movies, and the my inner shopper starts buying Christmas things. Basically, I transform myself into Buddy the Elf.
Everything about this time of the year gives me a warm feeling inside. With Thanksgiving coming, the brisk fall weather surrounding you, and Christmas decor filling the stores, everything about this world feels a little more magical. All of the time that will be spent decorating, baking cookies and delicious food, and spending quality time with your loved ones while partaking in family traditions adds a special aspect to this time of year. Also, the anticipation for the first snow makes it even more exciting! The reruns of "Elf," "The Grinch," and "Home Alone" make for a nice evening of hot chocolate and comfy clothes. I mean, what's not to like about this time of the year?
Well everyone, if you see me, do not be surprised if I'm wearing some kind of Christmas attire or listening to Christmas music. This time of the year makes my inner child come out, which is full of love and kindness. This time of the year is my absolute favorite! Happy November everyone!
