We all know the saying "New year, new me" but what if I had a great year and like how things are going in my life?

Just because it is a new year does not mean that we have to change anything in our lives. We can certainly still look for new goals to have in the new year but don't feel like you have to lose or gain anything just because society deems the new year as a time to change things. Don't worry about going on a diet or doing something new every month just because your friends think it's the right thing to do. If there is nothing you feel that you want to change in your life then don't! Most of us will say that we are going on a diet or think of some elaborate new year resolution but after maybe a month, we give up and forget about it. If we create these goals for ourselves that we are going to give up on then why even bother creating them?

Instead, if you really want to change something for this new year, set a small goal for yourself. This could be going outside for an hour a day, spending less time on your phone, or spending more time with your significant other. We shouldn't have to feel like we need to change but maybe making little changes in our life isn't such a bad thing. Making realistic goals for ourselves is going to be more valuable in the long run and we may actually be able to say that we completed our new year's resolution successfully.

However, my point is, don't worry about going big and following the crowd this new year. Personally, I don't have any new goals for myself which is why I'm writing this article to encourage others that you don't need to change anything if you are happy with how things are in your life! So make realistic goals if you want but don't go crazy because I can guarantee that you don't need to.

Have a happy and healhy 2018!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
