Calling all football fans, it's finally here. The day we've all been waiting for- Super Bowl LII. Every year, I feel as though the Super Bowl parties are just a repeat of New Year's Eve. We generally eat the same finger foods and watch football on the big screens with friends and family. And, you might be making new resolutions if you've already failed at yours just a month into the new year. Regardless of whether my favorite football team is playing in the Super Bowl, I still really love getting together with loved ones and enjoying some great food and fun. With that being said, these are my go-to foods for all Super Bowl watch parties.
1. Chips and Dip
This is absolutely one of the most necessary items that you should have at a Super Bowl watch party, or any party in general. Chips and dip is the ultimate snack for guests to munch on throughout the night. Some of my personal favorite dips for the Super Bowl are chili cheese dip, as well as bean dip. However, really any dip will do, so just pick your favorite one and grab some chips! It's that simple.
2. Macaroni
I am somewhat obsessed with macaroni and cheese, so this is definitely making my Super Bowl menu. I personally love making homemade macaroni, but if that's not your forte, you can just as easily grab some in a box at the grocery store, quick and easy!
3. Vegetable Tray
I have always been that person who needs to have a veggie tray at parties. I absolutely love having carrots, broccoli, and cucumbers with some homemade ranch dip. This is also such an easy item that you can add to your menu that hardly takes any effort to put together. Just grab your favorite veggies, get some dip, and voila! It's done.
4. Finger Food Apps
Super Bowl parties are known for all things finger foods. One of my favorites to have at any party is mozzarella sticks. As with macaroni, I have a special place in my heart (and stomach) for these guys. But really, any appetizer/finger foods will do.
5. The Main Course
This one can be optional. You may be perfectly content with just having finger foods and snacks at your party, and that is totally fine. However, if you're in need of a "main course", you really can't go wrong with some pizza, burgers, or even hotdogs. It's football right? That means it's time to serve those typical American foods that we all love to eat during sporting events.
6. Something Sweet
Last, but certainly not least, you have to have something sweet for that sweet tooth in your life. Cookies, brownies, cupcakes, anything will work really.
You're all set! When planning your Super Bowl menu, just keep in mind that you don't want to be stressed out about having to cook elaborate dishes. This is a time where finger foods and simple dishes that take little effort to put together are acceptable. The less time you have to spend preparing the food, the more time you have to enjoy with friends and family. And one last pro tip, don't leave your grocery shopping to the last minute, because you will have to deal with the madness if you do. Happy Watching!!!!
